The municipality of Oeiras is found within the Greater Lisbon area and lies 15 km from the centre of Lisbon and 20 km from Lisbon’s International Airport.
This municipality is set within the famous Estoril and Sintra Coasts, surrounded by Sintra and Amadora to the north, Cascais to the west, Lisbon to the east and by the Atlantic Ocean to the south.
One of the easiest ways to get to Oeiras is via the Lisbon-Cascais train line, which cuts through the different places of the municipality. If the journey is by car, there are two options, the EN 6 (National Road - Marginal) and the A5 highway, both linking Lisbon and Cascais, always passing through Oeiras.
Thanks to its location, Oeiras boasts a pleasant maritime climate, which allows its visitors to enjoy magnificent days of sunshine on beaches such as Torre, Santo Amaro or Paço de Arcos, or to make the most of unique green spaces such as the Parque dos Poetas or the Jardins do Palácio do Marquês de Pombal.
