Fátima (full day)
A wonderfull day visiting Portugal´s landmarks. Visit three of the seven Portugal Wonders, the Nazaré fishing village and the Santuary of Our Lady.
We leave for Óbidos village, with its medieval walls, rustic white houses and rich handcrafts. Next we will go to Alcobaça to visit its impressive Monastery church (heritage of humanity by UNESCO), the first one completely Gothic in Portugal, were will be moved by the tragic love story told by D. Pedro and D. Inês de Castro tombs.
We drive to Nazaré, the most colorful Portuguese fishing village, where we are going to have lunch. If possible we go to the Sítio to have a panoramic view of the beach and village. In the afternoon, we go to Batalha Monastery, a masterpiece of Gothic architecture, considered a heritage of humanity by UNESCO.
Finally, we arrive at the Fátima’s Sanctuary, center of Christian faith and a local of world pilgrimage, to visit the Basilica, where the tombstones of Lucia, Jacinta and Francisco are, as well as the Chapel of Apparitions, heart of the shrine. Eventually, we will have time to attend to the mass. At the end of the day, we will return to Lisbon through the colorful farming region.
